Re: Sniper Rifle/Designated Marskmen's Rifle Thread
Blah, blah, G3 still can't beat my Winchester, blah, blah, 600 FPS.

There's no kill switch on awesome!
Re: Sniper Rifle/Designated Marskmen's Rifle Thread
Mine will be very close to, if not at, 600 FPS. Plus, I have 55-400rnd mag capacity, mag relaod ability, and can put a dozen rounds into a target before you can put two
.
Yours definitely wins in the looks category, hands down

Well I can, actually. Did it a few times last game, but I don't think it would probably work out too well in the end.

Re: Sniper Rifle/Designated Marskmen's Rifle Thread
Fantastic, here's my DMR.

Promy 550mm, I plan to get a longer one eventually with a full cylinder.
Custom bucking, Firefly hard nub, King Arms hop up with a Prometheus Neo Strike on the way, We'll see if there really is that much of a difference between them.
the Gaurder SP140 puts it at 490fps.
A good solid little gun, and half the size of most DMRs
*edit*
Hey Dom, how are you liking that Firefly bucking?

Re: Sniper Rifle/Designated Marskmen's Rifle Thread
That's certainly one of the more unusual DMR setups I've ever seen. I have to ask...is that a CASV on your...L85? If so, I had no idea that there was such compatibility (at least in front furniture) between M series and L series.
My setup is a Systema PTW. Not too much else to say, as performance changes come as quickly as a cylinder swap. Externally it has a MagPul PTS PRS, SPR front, rail spine, and Airsoft Surgeon outer barrel. Currently making a shorter build (no change in performance whatsoever) with a CASV, rail spine, and reverting to the standard crane stock.
Strangely, my Systema TW5 (MP5) gets nearly the same performance with a much shorter barrel and an M130 cylinder, the main difference being the SD series front end I (with much help) milled (started as an ICS front end) to fit. It certainly adds uniquity (considering you can't get TW5's anymore and there's no compatible kits) but I really appreciate the noise reduction the front kit added, however inadvertent it was.

Re: Sniper Rifle/Designated Marskmen's Rifle Thread
It is indeed a CASV, and for the most part L85s and M series guns aren't compatible. I had to do a little sanding to get the rails to sit on properly, but after some tinkering I got it on there all snug like. It was really kind of a gamble as to whether it would fit or not. Turns out anything that attaches to the top rails on an M series can be put on an L85.

Dude, +1 for you, custom work ftw. I really often see guns (arnies mostly) where people claim 'custom' work on a gun where they haven't done anything but put aftermarket parts on it. Perhaps it's setting the bar too high, but custom is more synonymous with 'one of a kind, for one person' than 'modified' to me. Good work.

Great performance, I've loved Fireflys for a long time now.

Re: Sniper Rifle/Designated Marskmen's Rifle Thread
Just picked up a CA EBR, parts to turn it into a ridiculous DMR have been ordered as well.
Thais is what it'll look like in...hmm about 2 weeks.
Helical 300% gears, G&P M170 deviljet, Promy M170 spring, Promy hard bucking, CA bore up cylinder, bearings pulled bushing installed, mosfet, 16ga silicone jacket novak wire, sorbothane cylinder head pad. Not sure what piston yet but leaning towards a supercore.

Bad Ace! How is that SAW coming along?
Re: Sniper Rifle/Designated Marskmen's Rifle Thread

Not the greatest picture since the only functional camera I have right now is on my phone.
- Classic Army M15A4 CQB
- SPR Mk12 Mod 0 conversion kit
- G&G Full stock
- Matrix M160 dropin gearbox
- Matrix Magnum motor
- Madbull Ultimate hopup
- Getting a DB Customs 6.01 tightbore soon
