AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
It's a momentary switch, wired in around your actual trigger wiring. Looks like it would be a breeze to build your own.

Yeah, that's what I'm wanting to do, I just need to find a switch that works.SteevoLS wrote:It's a momentary switch, wired in around your actual trigger wiring. Looks like it would be a breeze to build your own.

Take your forward assist out, epoxy a microswitch at the base, and then use the forward assist as a plunger to push that switch. Presto, functional forward assist that doubles as a trigger.

No, we haven't. Waste of $15.When in semi-auto, we have all encountered the dreaded “semi lockup” problem.

Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
I have, quite often. But I have a gun with a longer piston, that pre-cocks, and it's much more likely to happen. Plus, I'm trying to put a hair trigger into the gun, and disable full auto while I'm at it. Currently I have a mosfet that disables full auto, as it's a DMR, but, well, it's a unique system.airsoftsniper11 wrote:No, we haven't. I would totally order this if I hadn't just ordered a mesh lower half. I may STILL have to order this sometime soon....

Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
Just picked up a whole bunch of goodies from Cheaperthandirt.com. Got some arena flakjaks for only 12 bucks (they seem pretty nice as compared to my ESS profile's). Then picked up a Streamlight Pro Tac light, 180 lumens, deadly strobe, just went out and shined it, super bright and very revealing. Also got a gerber shovel that folds to like 9 inches, very small. Got a massive radio pouch, put ill end up using it as a molle pistol holster haha it works nicely. Then got a magpul grip that only works on MOE stuff, not rails, didnt realize it so that was a waste... Lastly got some canteen thing that was military surplus. Cleaning that REAL good!!Overall I'm very satisfied, especially with the Flakjaks for such a low price, compared to 25 at an Airsoft store, and the Tac light is great. Some GA folks are about to become blind at night at TDC

I have one and use it in CQB, you can borrow it for the next game if you want to.Romba wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/Full-Face-Plastic-D ... 3a646875fb

Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
More general discussion, I asked my dad the other day what a tank of propane costs, and he asked why. I said I am thinking of running my pistol on propane. He Said "No. If you were to drop it, and something broke, the propane could combust and blow up.
I seriously thought he was joking, but he wasn't... Anyone know how to dispell this????

Green gas is propane with silicone oil. It's not going to explode..your dad should take some online chemistry courses.

Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
I know Green gas is propane with silicone oil. He thinks it's "air duster" as the airsplat can says.... I wasn't going to tell him it's propane, or he wouldn't let me use it... It's ridiculous.airsoftsniper11 wrote:Green gas is propane with silicone oil. It's not going to explode..your dad should take some online chemistry courses.
Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
You may be using duster gas, as that is another pressurized propellant for GBBs. As Kyle said, propane does not explode because you dropped a mag, and will not explode if you hold a lighter to the gun while you fire it (though there will be a fireball). Buy an airsoft propane adapter, 100% silicon oil (non aerosol), and some Coleman (NOT the knockoffs, their threads are not always compatible) camping propane tanks for ~$5 at WalMart. Don't throw the tank in a fire, and it will not explode.

Believe me, I know that, but the hard part is convincing my dad to LET me...Dominum wrote:You may be using duster gas, as that is another pressurized propellant for GBBs.
