No one should be shooting at anyones tents. I am not saying a stray bb may not hit it though. And no, no one will be shooting inside any tents at all. If you get close enough to touch someone's tent, then tell them they are dead. When they rise whenever that may be, they will have to go to respawn before re entering the game.idiot88 wrote:Are tents going to be set up in areas near battles? Are people allowed to shoot a tents? I think we're coming over with about half a dozen guys, but regardless how many fellow Georgians do or don't show up, I am excited about this event and know it's gonna be a lotta fun, and I hope it becomes an annual tradition. The Savannah is ours! Peaches rule!
Re: The Delimitation Conflict - April 16th & 17th
No need for concern about tents, at both Op24s everyone's tents got shot many many times and there was not a single hole. The material itself is strong, but the fact that there is so much loose surface area to absorb the blow means that all the force is disbursed easily. If you are asking whether or not people will be setting up their tents in the field, than you have not read the SC planning forum, and you need to!
Re: The Delimitation Conflict - April 16th & 17th
Actually, Dom, a lot of hikers/backpackers use ultralight tents which are thinner so they aren't as strong. It still shouldn't be a problem. If you're concerned about it, just hang a tarp over the tent for added protection.
And yes, Thrush. Peaches rule. GEORGIA!!!

Yes, please read the ammo/mag restrictions in the OP.

Alright since we know that we will be camping on the field as such I have a hard question to ask. This is not to question anyone's integrity or to sy that it will happen, but will there be any kind of prevention system to keep people from entering tents an tampering with personal belongings? So far I have not had any problems at AOSC games with anything being taken, but I went to redfox game not to long ago with a friend and people took most of our water from our cooler. As a result I became dangerously dehydrated. Anyway I was just wondering is there a rule or is it just going to be a common sense don't do it thing?

Don't want to take away from ^^^, but I have a game-related Q:
Can a sawed-off M79 launching a nerf football be considered an AT weapon? I just confirmed today that it can launch 100+ ft when fired horizontally (over 300 ft when fired at around 40 degrees). That is certainly approaching the power of shoulder-mounted launchers... I wanted the ruling, though, since there will be limited AT weapons.

I think Dom will be chillin in the HQ since he is our commanding officer. So hopefully he should be able to watch out for that.Hotspur93 wrote:Alright since we know that we will be camping on the field as such I have a hard question to ask. This is the way I see it Hotspur. It COULD happen. If/when it does I'll deal with it the best I can, but there is no way I could ever blame the AOSC or even expect them to try and keep an eye on my stuff. It might be a loss for me in the end. To prevent the worst, I will be carrying as little with me as possible and keep a careful eye on my equipment. On a positive note, at OP 24-2, when we went into Alpha's base, there were quite a few weapons lying about. Likewise, Smitty's weapons was all about our base, and Alpha was all over it. So there is a good bit of trust between the players.Hotspur93 wrote:Alright since we know that we will be camping on the field as such I have a hard question to ask. Re: The Delimitation Conflict - April 16th & 17th
Yeah I know there is, just with the way we all help eachother out and the way most games play out with both sides feeling good regardless of winning or losing. I just feel worried because Ive had stuff stolen at a game before and I don't to let it happen again. But seeing as how we should have people at HQ the whole time I feel better about it.
Re: The Delimitation Conflict - April 16th & 17th
I would not count on that. You never know what may happen, or which way a game will go. Heck, we have a 3 hour break at one point, there is no telling if anyone will be in HQ at that time.Hotspur93 wrote:But seeing as how we should have people at HQ the whole time I feel better about it.
p.s.
I am not trying to dissuade you from anything. Theft is at the bottom of the list when it comes to airsoft day for me, so I'm not insinuating ANYTHING.
(edited post cause it sounded so negative)
