I am well aware of that smitty. it was one of my grenades (not thrown by me) that the cap shot off and hit zoobie in the forehead. on that note tho, after nightfall i dropped 3 grenades on one guy in a woodline (witnessed by other players to have landed within 3-4 feet at most from him) and he never called a hit.D.Smitty wrote:Please be careful with those. It's very cool that you can throw those down at games, but always remember that sometimes they don't go where you want. Don't want a repeat of TDC with stunned players and near-miss-face-blowing-up.Stealth Hero wrote:Hahahaha, well... I still cant get over that statement about my grenade supply. Speaking of which, for less than $20, i have bought enough easter eggs in the last week to build somewhere close to 1000 grenades. and I think i'm going to see if i can find any more eggs next time im out.Chippy wrote:You signature looks awfully familiar, Stealth

He probably didn't know that he was being hit with a bb-spewing device and thought that they were stun grenades (giving him the benefit of the doubt). I can see many fields not allowing easter egg grenades for insurance purposes...so it might have been a new concept to him. At night, I can't tell the difference between a piece of a firecracker and a bb hitting my PC.Stealth Hero wrote: I am well aware of that smitty. it was one of my grenades (not thrown by me) that the cap shot off and hit zoobie in the forehead. on that note tho, after nightfall i dropped 3 grenades on one guy in a woodline (witnessed by other players to have landed within 3-4 feet at most from him) and he never called a hit.

SPR rant:
Plastic piston head beaks. Not surprising since it has a M160 behind it.
Replace with JBU metal piston and Systema piston head. Shimming is perfect, cycles smoothly. After about 50 rounds, the left side sector bearing blows out of the gearbox (inner half blows out, outer half stays in gearbox shell, little bearings err'whar). The rear end of the JBU piston is ripped off in one shot by the misaligned gears, which amazingly survive unscathed.
Not to worry, I have a spare bearing and metal tooth piston. I replace that (bushings as soon as I can get some 8mm steel bushings), and run a few rounds through it only to have the tappet plate brake. Again, not surprising since it sat for 48 hours bent at an angle when that bearing blew out.
All cheap, quick fixes... but annoying nonetheless.

Make sure you carry a sidearm for when your DMR breaks in the field.

KWA M16, KWA M4 RIS, KWA KP8 NS2, Echo 1 G3, Echo 1 P90, G&G MC-51, JG MC-51 RIS, UTG Trishot
Roger that! Tango Alpha Mango Salsa.
Re: Vent thread
It's back up and running like a top now. It sounds great and is perfectly shimmed, so assuming the lower bearings don't decide to spontaneously explode I should be in good shape for a while.
