Well technically no, but his love is conditional, as the Mythbusters would say "plausible."idiot88 wrote:So, does God hate me if I am a male lesbian? ;-)

We all started doing what we love somewhere...

God bless the people of that town.

I'm a devout male lesbian myself, just saying.

There's no kill switch on awesome!

personally i think that airsoft forums ought to have the same rules as a good Irish bar....No Politics,No Religion.
slick....while well thought out, your arguments are a waste of time...most folks are incapable of actually arguing matters of faith since to have an unshakable faith in something doesn't allow you to suspend your belief system long enough to see the other side of an argument against it and respond with anything that comes close to rational discourse...as shown below....
any who...
yeah, the WBC folks are absolutely a perversion of just about everything Christianity is supposed to stand for...but then they make their living off of agitating folks enough to get assaulted ,then suing.....so it's not actually a church,it's a job...lol.
yeah steevols...i'm feeling the same on that devout male lesbian thing.....

let me go through some christian comments I've heard on this sort of idea.....uh...two wrongs don't make a right,do unto others,etc.....I'll die before let some lowlife punk attack the core of my very identity. My insult was completely appropriate, considering the fact that you prompted it.
any who...

Before I take the time to read the two pages that follow Slick's post, I will answer him:
You raise many excellent questions, and point out MANY gaps in my post and leaps from one point to the next. My apologies for not making this clear in the first place:
My post was in no way meant to prove my world view entirely, or even come remotely close to iterating my beliefs and their supporting facts and arguments in their entirety. Hence many of my views are condensed into a single sentence, and I move on to the next conclusion I made. It is not an argument for why I am right, it is an extremely brief synopsis of the conclusions to which I have come. The post is indeed extremely devoid of much of the research I have done to come to the belief in my world view, as I did not sit down here to write a book. My point then is that this is what I have come to believe, and rather than have me sit here and try to prove what I believe to be correct and post volumes of reference material on why I do, I think that everyone should read what I say, then read what you say, and then go and research for themselves and see what they think about the matter. There was a time when I would sit here for hours and belabor each and every point with as much material as I could find, and we would each have a good time doing so (at least, I enjoy debating such things, and I get the feeling you do as well). So, while I hate to deprive you of an excellent debate on world views, I do appreciate the fact that you took the time to dissect my post with many well founded questions.

Thank you, and I do agree that the rest of your posts were very thought provoking. While I see the conclusions I have come to as being quite clear to me, I respect that you have many concerns and appreciate the thought inducing manner in which you are posing them.slickridley wrote:I'll contend that the memetic insult was inappropriate, (sorry Dom) but the rest of my posts still stand.

The AOSC has always been very clear that as long as any discussion remains just that, it is fine. If this becomes a tard-fest of name calling it will be locked. Suppression of free and reasoned discourse is not the AOSC's game.
Slick, Gods love is not conditional. Whether or not we choose to love him in return is the question that we all must answer for ourselves.
