Re: Everything you thought you knew and need to know about L
nothing more than a 11.1v 1600 mah 15C (so they say)
Re: Everything you thought you knew and need to know about L
The only important numbers are the voltage and C rating. Capacity doesn't make any difference other than how much juice you've got. Slap in the biggest lipo you can fit, just don't go over 11.1v 15c.
Technically you'd be fine with a 20c; that 15c rating is just to keep it on par with a large 9.6.

So do i have to discharge it or not? I read the whole article, because im hoping to be a first time buyer soon, and it said that if the cell got below 3v, then it has a very high chance of being ruined forever. Does that mean i have to get a balancer and discharge it to around 3v, or dont at all?
Re: Everything you thought you knew and need to know about L
No, you always charge a lipo back up after using it. Stop using it as soon as you hear it slow down a little bit, or when the buzzer goes off (if you use a lipo alarm).

Re: Everything you thought you knew and need to know about L
Balancers speak for itself to charge each cell as closely to the same voltage but when after using Lipos they seem to have different volts. Balancers help to battery to last a bit longer and safer because they dissipate some of the heat when charging.

What Li po should I put in a VFC scar? Just looking for one that will give good trigger response, last a while, and most importantly FIT IN THE FREAKING STOCK! Oh and I don't really want to have to put in a mosfet.

Oh this baby? It is genuine walmart brand.
If it has been said by Henry, then it's probably right.

Stick with a 15-20c 7.4v (about like a stout 9.6v); as far as dimensions, make a mockup battery out of cardboard or wood (or something). Fit the largest block in the battery compartment that you can, then go find a lipo on a site like HobbyKing.com that will fit.

...just pointing out that if you do not buy a MOSFET you will be buying a wiring kit at some point, especially if you use semi auto often and do anything that causes more electrical current to pass through the contacts.

What do they mean by voltage like 7.4 or 11.1 if its the discharge rate that controls the power output just wondering?

You apparently didn't bother reading the thread.
Voltage is based on the number of cells (3.7v each). The speed your motor turns is determined by the amperage, summed up in the "c" rating. 7.4v 50c battery might be on par with an 11.1v 20c, for example.

Sensationalist bullcrap. A lipo will burn, yes... NiMHs will explode! If you're not a tard and use a proper lipo charger then you should never see an issue.slimshady222 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DcpANRFrI4

I'm just going to say my 2 cents here:
I run a 7.4v 2200mah lipo on my CM046, and its truly amazing. Trigger response is great, my ROF stays constant, and I'm glad I made the switch to lipos (SteevoLS guided me on what to buy). My brother's 9.6v has a much faster ROF, but does not stay as constant at the end of the day. I absolutely love lipos now, and am buying more of them soon.
The charger I use is the Tenergy Smart Charger/Balancer, and it works great so far. There is no such thing as "dangerous, exploding lipos", you would have to be brain dead to not use them properly! Plug in battery, red light goes on, green comes on, un plug battery. And all this was relatively cheap too.
