Re: Heavy Milsim games every 2nd weekend of the month
once a month (pretty much) = every 2nd weekend.
Keep in mind that games are held every other weekend, so unless we catch one of those months with 5 weekends (like this october), then that would be every second game.
that being said tho, I would be interested, but I'll have to see what's going on since I'm planning for two games in oct, plus another major (and non airsoft related) event in november if all goes well.

I, for one, refuse to associate with MC wearing Milsim elitist hot stuff. They're all a bunch of jerks.

Been there. Black Hawk Downs syndrome runs rampant. Travis Haley made airsoft cool now, so I'm sure it has gone full retard there.Felix wrote:Kyle, go NC
Re: Heavy Milsim games every 2nd weekend of the month
Most airsoft in NC is paintsoft, though an obvious exception are the invite only RealMils. For example, I sometimes hear people call Fulda Gap a MilSim when it is literally a paintball game with airsoft guns. There are no medic heals, no bleed outs, you walk instantly to dead zones where you instantly respawn, and there are bunker tags on everything. The only remotely MilSim thing about it is the command structure. Part of the reason for this is that whereas in SC all games are run by airsofters (so that even our pickup games are more MilSim than previously stated paintsoft games), in NC a lot of games are run by the field owners themselves, and they are paintballers. The reason there is such a misconception in SC that NC is all ubar 1337 MilSim is because a couple years ago several of their teems came down wearing MC, plate carriers, and a bunch of midcaps. Everyone assumed they were all awesome players that were very MilSim in their manner of play. While some of them were (there are some high caliber MilSim teams in NC to be sure), this does not make the state that way, or even most of their games. The bottom line is that you can be just as much of a paintsofter doing that as you can by running around in Realtree with hicaps in your pockets. You may look more MilSim, but that does not necessarily mean you play more MilSim. In fact, I have noticed some of the teams that think they are MilSim simply piss ammo in enormous quantities at everything in sight, and then move forward. To be clear, there are indeed plenty of quality teams in NC that do not do that, but many people dilude themselves into thinking that NC airsoft is somehow on a higher plane of existence in the airsoft world than SC is. This is simply not the case. There are just five times the number of active players, and therefore five times the number of people that can afford the nice guns and gear that many South Carolinians cannot. Again, this does not mean they always choose to use these items in a MilSim manner.
