12 hour milsim event at Blue Hole! December 3rd
It wasn't a big letdown, but we had fun with the people that came out. About halfway thru we all called for a lunch break, cuz out of 3 objectives, we only found one for bravo.
then we changed the op to a attack/defend sim and everyone enjoyed it.

Definitely a great game. Not exactly a 12 hour milsim in the slightest, but still VERY fun. Good luck to the guy with the ACR getting it cleaned of all that dirt and clay.

Why didn't the commander assign R&R time for each squad ahead of time? That's kind of the point of immersive games, you have to have the logistics to eat (et al) in the field.TokenTech89 wrote:It wasn't a big letdown, but we had fun with the people that came out. kinda hard to pull that off when all of bravo was at respawn and 2 alpha were preventing respawns.

the dogfight was even, and then they ambushed us. 13 alphas went to respawn, and all of us were stuck cuz we couldn't respawn thanks to 2 alphas

Lol thats me. It turns out even with all the mud and crap that happen to it. It was fine. The short was in the gearbox although we didn't open it up and try. I fixed the short in it by accidentally poking out of place with quiptip.Undead wrote:Definitely a great game. Not exactly a 12 hour milsim in the slightest, but still VERY fun. as much as I agree with you and brought it up. It didn't really fit the style of the event once everything got rolling. It took us an extra hour to get the event going due to poor planing on part of the coordinators mentioned before (we couldn't find one of the objectives the entire time up there and we were defenders) and we didn't really have any chain command to set up schedule. We kinda just functioned as self supporting fire team no patrol base or anything just patrolling fire teams with radios. Plus everyone except me left their gear/food back at camp a good click or so away. So we changed it up the sack of fun to salvage the day.

it wasn't that we couldn't respawn, it's just that it turned into a mini 'meet and greet' with the alpha's at bravo's respawn... and after shooting the breeze for a while, turned into a vote to break for lunch... yes, it was a mutiny against the event organizer, lol...
