Acceptable Attire
First of all I'm not sure if this belongs in rule discussion or not but I figured the safer choice would be to try posting this here.
Lines 6 and 7 in Article III, Rule # 8 States: (Not being a smart A, I thought it would be more clear to post the sub section rather than the whole rule)
" Balance colors will go to whichever side needs numbers: Black BDUs, Private Military Contractor, ACU, Urban Digi, civilian, etc., though they are usually considered Bravo. "
My gear is a bit different than what most people are used to, Basically its LEO or Civvies I understand this is covered under the rules as balance colors, but does this mean its universally accepted?
My main concern being that in Airsoft Ohio the only MilSim events I would be allowed to attend ones with a rebel or Anti-Terrorism theme. I didn't know if all sponsored events adhered to these rules?
Thanks for all your time and input,
Rabid

You can wear whatever you want to an AOSC game, but you may end up on either team, unless the game has three factions(example:Green Camo-US Army, Tan Camo-Russian Army, Black-Blackwater Mercanaries)
Hope that helped!

Re: Acceptable Attire
Generally very light on gear, shoulder holster and most equipment belt level. If its cold out usually a navy suit with belt level gear and holster. However if its warm out (which I assume it will be) Black hat and pants, black shoulder holster, misc gear on belt, against white/navy depending on the temp that day.
Generally I find it more accessible, familiar, agile, and breathable than a rig with my loadout all of which is very light.
But if It appears I'm rocking the boat too much I do have ACU (I bought them before I knew better) and matching gear, that I dislike using.
[EDIT]
I didn't see that last response.
Even the MilSim events? Are those rules locked in once the game is sponsored by AOSC? Or is that just the majority of cases?

you'll be fine, down here you could come out in jeans, tshirt and sneakers with mags stuffed in your pockets and they'd just stick you on the team that needs the numbers
"MilSim" in SC is generally defined as having a chain of command and an objective of capturing a base or finding something...

Say what you want, think what you want, it won't change the fact that AJAX will do what we want, when we want, including roll the ____ over you.

fine print: sometimes I'm serious and post middle of the ground statements based on logic, other times I will post something absurd just to point out the sheer lunacy of someone's opinion. Other times I may post something directed specifically at another forum member just to be a smartass. Don't take it personally, it's all in good fun.

Re: Acceptable Attire
Okay great, thanks for all the info. I feel very relieved and more eager to get to one of these events. Each time I ask a question with some amount of trepidation I end up very happy with the answers and the attitude around here.

You name a game, I've been to it.
If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.
If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.
