Dang Echo 1, I have told you time and time again, it is PORN, not pron. That stuff will kill you.

Re: Computer Issues
First of all, in this day and age downloading porn is foolish, stream that shibbit.
Second, Besides a few tricks your isp is really the one in control of your base upload rates. Unless your talking about a peer to peer type of download such as a torrent in which case I can suggest a few programs and router system modifications. In some instances port forwarding can be an advantage and it can even be simulated.
Improving your lines and splitter to shorter more direct routes may be a quick fix and is easily done with a coil of Ethernet wire and cable crimper.
You have no idea how many times I wanted to make jokes involving Echo 1 with their "performance issues" and "high stock FPS" and turn it into some humiliating phallic references. However I will rise above these immature urges....This time.
Anyone else have questions? :-)
Btw heres a link to lots of pr0n:

He was trolling BTW. He is our resident lovable troll, so have fun, but don't feed him too much or he may bite your finger.
Here is a legit problem. I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad for my wife and it ran Minecraft well for a while, but now (and for some time) it runs it very slowly, then it gets worse, then it shuts down (I assume it overheats). What changed, and how can we get it back to the way it used to be?

Just because he was trolling shouldnt prevent the spread of good information ;-).Dominum wrote:He was trolling BTW. He is our resident lovable troll, so have fun, but don't feed him too much or he may bite your finger.

I have a few details to ask you so I can do a bit of research:
1. Can you tell me what model the thinkpad was or the specs?
2. Can you tell me around when Minecraft ran well on it or what version of minecraft was running when it worked well?
3. Around what time or what version did it stop running well?
4. Does the whole computer shut down or just minecraft?
And finally are there any other issues, even unrelated...Such as slow speeds, Time/Date being wrong, fan louder than usual, Error messages/safe mode prompt/scan when booting up, anything at all?
