Considering a crazily epic custom build

I want to build an SKS rifle(airsoft form of course).

I think me and my dad could figure out everything but the feed system.

Ideas? Knowledge? Concerns?

I think you should read the entire build thread on Arnies (this is an older project from Renegadecow). This was not an easy build, and if you want yours to come out looking like an actual SKS you're going to have to do a LOT of work. Not saying it can't be done, but it won't be easy.

When I followed the link it told me I didn't have permission to view the thread. So, I figured I would ask you guys.

Here's what I was thinking:

Modify a real SKS stockto fit gearbox(if wise enough
Small hopper feeding system, accessedby pulling back the charging handle.

I'll go see if something's changed and I can see the thread now.
