Our first skirmish of the day really gave us the upper hand. Once we took the middle base overlooking the sandy area it was relatively easy to tell what was going on and coordinate from there. Kudos to all the alpha players who kept giving us trouble by rolling up behind us all day.

I'd also like to thank Ranger, LJ, Dom, Brandon, and Hotspur. These guys especially kept in great contact with me and made sure people on the edges of the filed stayed informed. Information is king.

Ajax put on a great game, the only criticism I have is the lack of a defined lunch break. It just ended up that Bravo took staggered lunch breaks whereas alpha seemed to have the majority of their forces out at once. I know not everyone can pack it in and play on the field all day, even i walked at off at a point to sit for a moment and grab some more water. Other than that everything was superb. Especially happy with the stream of continuing objectives. Diesel and Felix never let our jobs be done, they definitely made us earn the victory.

As for the points being 1000-300, thats a bit of an exaggeration (considering points were only in incriments of ten, and only a few 50 pt objectives were capped during the day).

As for all the cursing and hit calling? Bah. Its been said a thousand times, if you can't play nice and you can't play right are you really having fun?

Thanks again to Ajax putting this on, and thanks to both teams for a great game. It was a good day, and I am exhausted.
well I tried to keep comm's open all the time and make sure everyone knew their places, however I was having radio malfunctions but I fixed them, also alot of guys were hitting the page button, and holding the comm button in, dont always help if we can't have com's open.
either way I am saluting you drew you are a fantastic CO and star folder awesome job to you as well.

I think with a few adjustments here and there we could have litterally smashed alpha oh and diesel what was that smart remark about ARMY???? lol no AJAX, YOU CREATED A FANTASTIC GAME I WOULD NOT BE HAPPIER. Drew, if you ever need another XO, you can count on me bud. I enjoyed securing the hostages clearing the bombs and keeping you safe man. that was priority#1, you did awesome!

Ranger made a great XO and proved that you can win a battle even if you walk your soles off and
Between you losing your sole and Felix jumping ravines like he was a mountian goat, I had no lack of entertainment

The page button pushing did get old, if one person pushed it, then it seemed like everyone started pushing it. Those of us with headsets that had inner earbuds got blasted by the page button. I had to remove mine more than once.

My opinion on the lack of a lunch break: If Alpha would have spaced out their lunch like bravo did than everything would have went fine. I think our lunch breaks were spaced out because we did use comms talk to each other. I had a backpack with some snacks and water. Ranger and one of our squad mates brought along some MREs to share so we grubbed out on them for about 15 minutes before we all piled into the back of the red rover to be transported to take the middle spawn back from the Alpha scum. :p

Had a great game out there, absolutely loved it. Working on getting my dads 170 pics posted to where everyone can view them, I should have that out by tuesday night at the latest. Absolutely had a blast with the bravo chaps!

Did have one guy threaten to punch me in the face, that was rather hilarious. But other than that I didnt see too many problems. Perhaps some hit calling issues, but with the ranges and the wind I didnt worry about it.

The game went pretty well this weekend, I see the board is complaining about the hit calling. I just want to complain about the fire ant hill we laid down on, 30 stings on my arm :( and on GregK at least double.
Sand, sand everywhere, in the boot in the glove in my pistol. (rage face)
But PG had fun, our training looks to be paying off, hopefully see you guys at the next TriggerTime game.

Talking with some of Gold Team, and I feel like its our general consensus that the majority of the "hit-calling" issues stemmed from people overestimating their gun and not being able to judge distances as well in a large open space.

I know when we first got out on the field i had my sniper rifle, but ditched it by twelve, it was easier to just run at people and shoot them up close then try to make a rainbow of bb's to hit them.

My bullshit made up on the spot static is that this is the actual issue about 98% of the time.

StuckMojo wrote:yes there was alot of long range guns out there. one of the bravo players nailed be in the ear from about 175 to 200 yards and it still stung like hell. good shot though
200 yards is 600 feet. Most finely tuned airsoft rifles max out around 300' effective range. I'm sure Mojo meant 200' (wink, wink, nudge nudge). You're right though. Judging distances in an open space like that is tough and you quickly realise how short of a distance your average AEG shoots. Even 300' in a space like that is nothing.

I think that if people would do one simple thing it would cut the "no hit callings" down drastically. And that is when you're hit YELL "HIT" and bring your dead rag out. Even if you have a team mate there to heal you do it anyway to let the shooter know you've been hit. It's also beneficial for you because it also let's team mates in your area know there are hostiles near.

One incident I was called in on occurred when some people on lower ground were shooting up to higher ground. I walked up to observe. I found that there were a 4 people up top healing each other and not bothering to throw dead rags. From the ground below it appeared as one or two not calling hits or abusing the medic rules.

First: If I had been there when I was supposed to, the game would/could have started on time. So, if that is taken into account, Diesel and Felix did outstanding getting the game going at 10:08!
Second: I believe the game ran extremely well. It was a great scenario. Diesel, Felix, and all the AJAX refs, just awesome.
Third: I appreciate that 123bridges allowed the AOSC to use the field on Saturday. Truly unique!
Fourth: I got to put some faces with some names. Always nice. However, we do have some ugly mugs. Good thing we or at least some of us wear masks. I now know that some others that need to start wearing masks....
Fifth: I had a nice time at my "State Fair Shooting Gallery". It was during the time that we starting pushing up on the Alpha HQ & flag. Alpha sent some players further up and then around the upper most cliffs. Every time I saw a "bobbing head" starting to appear, I sent a special delivery message with delivery confirmation. Most of my messages were confirmed by dead rag. I did shoot some dead people (oops) but they were holding the dead rags low and not on their heads, and I was sending my special deliveries the moment I saw a head. Which leads me to Vesper. I, also, pelted you with some spherical plastic projectiles. Again, I was sending on sight of a head and I knew no Bravo were up there. (Dom was up there I believe for a time) You did just brush them off and continued on.
Sixth: Congrats Drew! (he's one of my "sons")
Seven: Go Bravo! Played as a team. A well oiled machine. Communication was outstanding.
Eight: Kudos to Alpha! They just kept coming and coming.

Lastly, it was a great way to celebrate my birthday weekend.

Ha ha ha! That was you. I had the deadrag in my mouth because I was doing some climbing. All I heard was something along the line of, "oh, he's dead."

If I remember correctly he was too "tacticool" to wear the geeky orange markings so he deserved it.

There, this says it all. :P
Seriously though, I was first embedded to Bravo command staff, so I advised to wear MC to not give away his position while I'm with him. That was the theory behind it anyway. By the end of the day, I wore my gear just to break them in.
