Did Airsoft GI lie about my gun, or is it goofed up?
Re: Did Airsoft GI lie about my gun, or is it goofed up?
thats not a gun issue as it is a mag issue, fixed by cleaning. But ok. Have fun with that.

Yeah... Definitely a magazine issue. The magazine pushes the bbs to the gun. The gun is not drawing them into the hop up chamber. You may want to get a mid cap magazine that doesn't need winding and see if that remedies the issue before wasting money and blaming everything on the gun you purchased.

Are you winding the FULL magazine until it clicks?
Also, it will do wonders for your future stress levels of you stop freaking out at minor things. If you're going to return a gun for a magazine issue, we're going to have a ball when you get on here after buying your first GBB.

There's no kill switch on awesome!

I think you need to tell Scotty to beam you up. As everyone has stated, there is nothing wrong with your gun. KWA's are very reliable. I've been using my SR5 for almost 2 years with no issues. If it is firing any bb's fine, then your gun is working fine, but your mag isn't feeding. If you wind the mag and release it outside the gun how many bb's come out of the mag?
You name a game, I've been to it.
If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.
If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

Odd that they were going to charge that much. I've sent many guns to California through UPS and never paid more than $30, and that was with a great deal of insurance. Also, you realize that new magazines can be had for cheaper than any shipping you paid for. Why did you send back a working gun because the mag didn't work. You probably left it wound up for too long, and it lost all it's tension. It happens when you forget to empty your mag of bbs after a day of play.

Re: Did Airsoft GI lie about my gun, or is it goofed up?
I'm OCD about relieving the pressure in my mags, so it wasn't that. As to someone's other question, when fully wound only about 7 bb's "roll" out the top. And no I'm not paying $76 to ship, I walked out of the UPS store when they said that. I contacted KWA and told them a warranty is worthless with shipping fees like that, so they agreed to cover my shipping costs. The thing is, the sr12 in its stock box is long, and only fits in a UPS 12x12x48 box, and you need UPS to package your goods if you want them to honor any insurance claims. But KWA shorted me and didn't give me a shipping label that covered the dimensional weight (50 lbs), only the actual weight of 12.6 lbs. So back to contemplating my next move... I'm wondering how safe it is to ship without "honored" insurance and tons of foam peanuts, which would save me money but not if the gun gets damaged. Now I can ship it as is in the $76 package without paying a dime, and UPS will charge KWA the rest on arrival. My worry is KWA is going to go at my throat for the rest of the money, even though they originally promised to cover it.
Options: 1.Ship in big expensive box and risk being in debt to KWA. 2. Ship in retail box, risk damage. 3.Ship magazine only (wonder if I can really do that). 4. Buy another (ughhhh) mag, become a lazy recluse and eat Pringles all day.

Are you using strictly high caps?

Oh hey specter I remember you. Yeah the gun is nice, it just cant shoot without a working magazine. I asked KWA earlier if they covered low FPS and they said yes, but I decided to hold onto it, until one week later the magazine crapped out. So I figured I would just send it all in and get the fps tweaked while they fixed up the mag. The real problem at the moment is with a company only halfway fulfillng promises, causing complications and headaches.
Answer to above: I only have the two KWA high caps to use in the gun. The stock one included is the malfunctioning one.
PS: I have a JG M4. It sucks for the most part.

BUY ANOTHER MAG!!! Seriously, it's ridiculous to send back a whole new gun just for one silly little mag.
But on that topic, when you wind it, do you wind it completely, and by completely, I mean until the clicking noise has a little extra click to it? Cause it sounds like you aren't winding it all the way.
Here's some experiences that I've had, Take your box, and flip the lid inside out, and tape it back down, that way it's just a cardboard box when you put it together. Ship it like that, it'll be fine. I've used UPS to ship close to 100 guns all over the country without issue, many of which were shipped exactly as I stated above. Not one was damaged, not a single one.
Also, again, shipping the mag by itself is almost a laughable matter, but if you feel so inclined, you should ask KWA if you can just ship the mag instead, a simple $5 box from USPS would work really well for that.

I live in Greenville. I have plenty of midcaps and would be more than willing to let you test one of them out just to completely make sure your gun is peachy keen. PM me if you are interested.

Haha yeah don't worry I know I'm annoying, I'm an OCD personality and get way too analytical, anyways back to the analizering. Thanks for the offer to test the mags out leonard, but my other KWA high cap works perfect so I really don't have a need to troubleshoot.
I've wound that mag in so many different ways... (I know you don't have to say it). 10 winds, 20, 30, and up to clicking point.
Might try your box method Star Folder... But I have to say I suddenly feel stupid for just now thinking of sending the mag by itself (which would be cheaper than a new mag)... Gah... Facepalm
