We have this at SQA.Mr. Marauder wrote:I for one, am all for this. Many players can't accurately judge distances, and a quick few minutes at the start of the next few games could work wonders.idiot88 wrote: Once years ago at a Red Fox game (don't remember if it was SCAA or AOSC), the reps put up measured markers indicating the MED's of 20, 50, and 100 feet. I am wondering if we need to do that periodically at games to reinforce depth perception.
I, also, set one up at the Airfarm at the previous game held there (moonshiner game).
It unfortunately was not located near the chronos, so I doubt anyone used it or knew it was there. We took it down right before the game started.
Through my experience, many people "think" that 100 feet is closer (BAD), and 20 feet is farther (GOOD) until they actually see the range. BAD because these people have High Powered guns and they are hitting people closer than 100 feet - typically "their original" 100 foot was actually 75-80 feet. GOOD because these people have lower powered guns and they are not getting too close to people they are shooting. Most people get the 50 foot MED within +/-10 feet.
