I for one, am all for this. Many players can't accurately judge distances, and a quick few minutes at the start of the next few games could work wonders.
We have this at SQA.
I, also, set one up at the Airfarm at the previous game held there (moonshiner game).
It unfortunately was not located near the chronos, so I doubt anyone used it or knew it was there. We took it down right before the game started.

Through my experience, many people "think" that 100 feet is closer (BAD), and 20 feet is farther (GOOD) until they actually see the range. BAD because these people have High Powered guns and they are hitting people closer than 100 feet - typically "their original" 100 foot was actually 75-80 feet. GOOD because these people have lower powered guns and they are not getting too close to people they are shooting. Most people get the 50 foot MED within +/-10 feet.

Haze wrote:This was a very good game and my first time at airfarm. Both games were awesome and had many great moments and firefights. The only bad thing was that alot of bravo left after lunch but besides that it was a really good game and day.
Also, my friend is missing a black vest that has a sniper rifle scope with it, if anyone has it please contact me.
I do have it the black vest that had the sniper scope in it . I will bring it with me to the next game at Wellford. Also I have a few other lost and found items from this game , If you lost or loaned out some thingand its not found , I may have it. But if not claimed after a while I can not be held responsible for Items left unattended, they maybe sold or traded for doughnuts.

Yes this was a great game at the Airfarm , It was hot and Humid , but nothing compared to SOCO and those who went will vouch for this . Also this was a good game to meet some of the newer players there and see some of the teams work as a whole . Great job by team Gold , and Taskforce 1. Also geat job by Vesper as the VIP , great shoot out at the end with Felix and The sniper . Had we not been Decoy and our purpose to simply engage you and delay bravo from gettting the Vip this would have been even more fun ! :o . but the more I play the more I realize that most of the funnest time is sitting around the parking lot before, during lunch and at the end of day. always a joy to sit and talk shop .

agian this was a great game and The Airfarm looked great with a few new additions. Now lloking forward to the game at Wellford.

Found on Felix's van? If so, I know who they belong to.

If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

Unfortunately one of the worst offenders of this rule plays at the SQA field regularly. No names will be named in this post, but he knows who he is. ;)

great first game since May. I enjoyed it greatly. My sniper rifle is getting more and more famous in the AOSC. But its also the player behind the rifle.

I had 1 problem with a person not calling their hit. I had a great spot and shot a guy. I unintentionally hit him in the glasses and he didnt call it. well i shot him a 2nd time and heard a loud "THUMP" from his rig. he dropped and yelled contact left. so i was in a firefight with 4 people. about that time, Bravo came over and plowed through them. I went out and confronted him on not calling. his response, "I thought it was a ricochet" when you get hit HARD by a single BB. Its a sniper that has the drop on you.

Other than that I got multiple kills that no one even heard coming. O the benefits of a silent rifle.

Plus when it comes to ricochets, you generally hear the BBs hitting something else first.

You also are REQUIRED to know for a fact that they are ricochets to consider them such. Unless you are 100% positive on this, you have to call it out. About the only time you can ever be certain is if you watch the BB hit something or someone first, or only one person is firing at you and you know for sure that they are banking of of something, like a wall. Example, at FPTC in the hallway there are often ricochets that you see/hear hitting a wall and then hitting you. In every other case where you do not know for certain, it is cheating not to call the hit(s). There is no excuse for what happened to C Taylor.

That transcript is almost laughable. They're really shooting themselves in the foot over nothing.

Had a good time. A decent amount of IronFox showed up, compared to our attendance as of late. Didn't see much action first half. Kudos to the sniper and his friend who tagged along with us. You guys did great.

The second half went much better for me, despite three of our squadmates ditching out due to the heat. I switched out my M16a3 for my Mp5, stripped a little equipment, and before I knew it I was creepin through underbrush like a Fox, indeed. At one point I found myself utterly buried in vegetation stalking a squad of bravo. I was able to take down a decent number of them over a long period of time before I was struck by some lucky guess-firing.

...Which reminds me of something funny I want to bring up.

Before I bled out, one of the bravo guys, (who obviously hadn't payed any attention during the safety briefing) grabbed me by the back of my vest and proclaimed I was his human shield. I thought he was joking at first, but that's when he actually started telling me to walk forward while holding onto me. I told him I wasn't doing a damn thing until an admin confirms he can do that. Sure enough, after a quick radio call, I was getting an apology from him. I'm pretty sure this guy must've REALLY misinterpreted the medic drag portion of the briefing...

After that, Me and Wes went on to flank and frag a few more bravos before game was called.

Also, I found my AK's underslung cleaning rod that I lost at Op. Apple Pie. I was both pleased and amazed by that.
