Need a little advice

Post by Delmar32 » Sat Aug 18, 2012 12:18 pm

OK so I am having trouble with my gun and not sure what i can do or how to fix it. Today I went out to shoot it and I got about 15 rounds through it on semi and went full auto and got about to long burst out of it and it just stopped firing. It doesn’t even act like it is trying to fire. I thought it might be my battery but the battery seems to be fine what else might be the problem? If you need to know it’s a VFC SCAR-L. Could it be just a jam?

If you pull the trigger and hear absolutely nothing (not even a click from the motor trying to turn over) then you probably have an electrical problem.

(a) blown fuse
(b) motor connector popped off in pistol grip
(c) damaged trigger assembly

Given that if got stuck firing in full auto and then died, my money is on the trigger being messed up. A broken or worn cutoff lever could cause it to fire full auto in semi aswell, but that would not explain the electrical issue.

I don't thin it is A so how hard are B and C to check/fix being that I have never messed around with the inside of a gun and it being a VFC or should I look for someone to help me out?

Have you actually looked at the fuse? It's by far the easiest thing to check.

What are your battery's stats? How powerful is it?

is it even trying to fire(you hear the motor trying to turn the gears?)

Alright, then it's probably not the battery. My next guess would be the motor connectors in the pistol grip. Take the two screws out of the bottom of the pistol grip and see if one of the two wires have come off of the motor. Just be sure you don't mess with the large center screw, leave that one how it is.

Thank you that fixed it. So now my gun looks like I want it and works.

That's a sexy looking scar you have there. I'm glad it's working again.
