I may very well just make this one a dedicated hunting rifle and restore a second one since they're so cheap.

That sounds like a great idea. Let me know when you go get your second one and I may pick one up as well.

.40 calibers are nice. I have shot a Ruger SR40c and was very pleased with it. The best thing you can do is find someone who has one and is willing to allow you to shoot it and then starting looking for a model that suits your needs. Handguns are a different ballgame compared to rifles and shotguns.

I've also thought about getting into revolvers, specifically a .38 special. My faher owns one for self defense.
Last game I went to: Redfox, March 29th, 2014
(Stolen from Gerbilizer :D)

Take what I say on RS pistols with a grain of salt.

I wouldn't buy a .38 Revolver. If I was going with a revolver I would opt for a heavy cartridge. You losing fire rate and ammo capacity with a revolver, so stopping power is even more necessary.

Stripper clips are indeed quite handy, but I *hate* the new production ones. Way too many sharp edges.
