Attempt at repairing leaky gas magazines

I am attempting to fix a couple of my leaky TM Mk23 magazines,
since they are expensive (and getting more rare by the month...nobody seems to carry the pistol itself anymore).

Leaks are around the base of the magazine, which calls for a classic fix with teflon tape or epoxy
(for that brittle, permanent fix) around the square-ish o-ring that sits at the bottom of all gas magazines.

Funky thing about the TM mk23 mags, though - there is a 3rd pin holding the base in place
which is only a few mm long (does not go through the whole mag)!
Tutorial websites say to "dremel out" this 3rd pin in order to get the base off. See the pic below:



I don't have a lot of experience with a dremel,
what kind of bit should I be looking for to dremel out
a couple mm of metal without doing a whole lot of damage?

Y&P Mk23 mags are cheap, more easily available, and far more reliable. Thank me later.

I would use an actual drill bit and a small drill if you intend to completely remove that pin.

I was not certain of their compatibility, since KWA and Umarex both make a mk23 with mags that do not fit the TM. I can give them a shot for that price, though.

I'm using a little dremel right now. The progress is REALLY slow, but I would rather that than punch a hole into the gas chamber. Now that I think about it, a small drill might not be a bad idea...

The Y&P is a TM clone that has been out for years, whereas the Umarex/KWA Mk23s are a recent development.

You may want to talk to 82nd Customer, he has a lot of hands on experience with them.
