Redfox game: September 29th
Redfox game: September 29th
I didnt wanna be the first to post, but its been two days so why not. I thought it was a fun basic game. I liked the quick team death matches too. It was nice to just run at eachother and shoot. I didn't care much for the full seal eye-pro, but I'd go back to play some more. And good job Dom for the good game. I didnt have to much trouble with players, one kid thought yellow ties meant twenty foot and that sucked, so I guess we should drill that in more.

Maybe that's the guy that gave me this:uboat4 wrote:I didnt have to much trouble with players, one kid thought yellow ties meant twenty foot and that sucked, so I guess we should drill that in more.

I should get a purple heart or something. Anyways, that was the most fun I've had playing at Redfox. Good job Dom

Painful looking, right on the adam's apple. I remember seeing that on you when in the 2 story building. PS: I'm the alpha guy who snuck up in there

Re: Redfox game: September 29th
I had a wonderful time, I was happy with the turnout (57) and the P90's new gearbox's performance. Thanks a bunch to Marauder for helping me run the game. Everyone seemed to have a good attitude, and even though we had a lot of new people we only had one problem, and that was promptly resolved (because a couple players did exactly what I asked them too, they saw the problem and immediately called me over so I could fix it, kudos to you). In case you haven't guessed, the neck shot was the problem. Someone with a 100' MED engaged him at 35'. The player apologized and I removed his high FPS gun from play and just let him use a 0' MED pistol for the rest of the day. He promised he would measure off 100' and practice only engaging targets past that distance and assured me it would not be a problem in the future. That is why I felt it was more appropriate to limit him to a 0' MED gun for the rest of the day rather than kicking him off the field.
Silverado City, other than that incident, went well. Fast paced as usual, we had fun clearing out the second story in the first game, though it took us a while and I died three times doing it (I had not loaded my Tornado's because I didn't have time, so we had to do it the old fashioned way). I'll admit it was very fun to play that particular field again with a BB pissing hose, but I still got some pistol kills of course.
Valley of Doom was wet and humid, but not hot, and grown up pretty well from the summer. The creek was shallow enough to cross and get in. The play there was exciting as well, I started off being surprised by a fire team when I came over the edge of a ridge, but I got popped in the face before I could take out more than two. I went back and Bravo was right up on our bridge, so I shot a few guys and got shot a few times, then decided to go with Gerbilizer up the hill and we crawled up to the edge with good concealment, I poured rounds into clumps of them and we knocked almost all of them out, a few of them further back heard/saw all the rounds go into the guys next to them and they called themselves out, a couple even ran away. After I cleared that whole flank (or so I thought) I went up through the creek and shot a few, but then died. It turned out two guys had hidden in the thick brush near the piles of bodies I had left behind and waited for me to leave, then resumed the attack on our bridge, more guys came in to help and they won.
Mile High was a blast as always, our numbers had thinned but we still had plenty, and it was still relatively cool outside (which is nice, normally it is sunny and hot up on that hill, but the clouds helped us out). I went back to Bravo, and our objective was to get hard drives out of 4 buildings, a laptop out of one, and the 6th building was empty. I took a few guys along with me and we took the 4 story building first. I got up underneath it and started shooting the Alpha in the windows across the street from underneath an Alpha held building. The guys upstairs heard the P90 and (I think) assumed I was outside at the base, so they came down the stairs. I popped them both with a Glock and we cleared the rest of the building to find no one. From there we used the windows to assist other groups in clearing other buildings. A few of us tried to rush the blue one, but Gerbilizer had the bottom stair well covered, and the only way in with a shot on him was from the street... which was suicide. I then tried to boost Romba up on my shoulders to shoot Gerbilizer in the back of the head through a low-ish window, but it didn't work, so I tried with another guy. He was almost up but his feet slipped on my shoulders and I got a butt to the back of the head. About that time we were lit up through the woods in the back. I then moved around to the other side of the street after respawn and got in the building with Hotspur, I used those windows to get a few kills, but no one in the blue building would ever show themselves in the windows. Eventually we ended up clearing all but two buildings. Good times for sure.

Haha... All I see is this little tan head popping up like a prairie dog and I hear "brrrrrap" and I hit the ground firing!Dominum wrote: The play there was exciting as well, I started off being surprised by a fire team when I came over the edge of a ridge, but I got popped in the face before I could take out more than two.
Got you right in the face but I think about 15 BB's missed my ear by less than 2 inches!
You must have squeezed the trigger for a second and wiped out half of our fireteam, in fact after that.... we went that entire skirmish without sustaining as many casualties at one time. I didn't use my dead rag once that game.
After that our 4 man fireteam healed the two downed guys and absolutely commanded that ridge. We wiped out patrol after patrol trying to out flank us and had a great opportunity to piss BBs into the valley on an entire squad of Alpha guys accusing us of cheating because they didn't know their boundaries. It was AWESOME!
All in all, I had a great time. Didn't get to ruin anyone's day with Marshall's 203 (joke) but I was wrecking Alpha with that Polarstar!
Pros:
-Game mechanics and organization worked flawlessly.
-Medic Rules worked great
-Awesome scenarios
-Better props than a lot of games
-Target Rich Environment (outnumbered)
-Bravo didn't lose once
-Awesome cohesive fireteam (Hatch, 2nd Ranger, Steevo, CTaylor)
Cons:
-Full Seal Eye-Pro w/ that humidity (FAIL)
Thanks again for setting this up Dom

Yeah, you hit that ditch and all I saw was a barrel and the top of your head, halfway covered by a tree no less. I swung it in your direction but got caught by your single round before I could zero in, dead in the forehead. Good aim and quick thinking there. You liked my hard drives and laptop? The cheaper props always turn out to be the best it seems.

Haha... cat like reflexes come in handy when some sneaky guy gets within 50' with a 51rps "mini" gun.

That P90 was ridiculous Dom, and I must commend you on missing my face when you turned and fired at me as I was trying to wave you down that the building was clear xD
