OP Updated! Read it.

We will become most victorious for benefit of the motherland!

Garrett, I assume but just want to make sure that the comms rules are standard (i.e. stay off enemy comms, do not listen, broadcast, or interfere etc.)

Pics or it didn't happen.

I know they are out there somewhere, I just tried to find them but they were not posted in the pic thread from the game.

Is anyone else thinking that the nuke thing is probably not going to work? How many admins will be there to police areas that are nuked out of play?

My concern is that the boundaries will be disputed. Even if people aren't dishonest, it's hard to know exactly where one square ends and another begins; it's not like the lines are drawn on the ground. Garrett said the map will be on GPS this time, though, and if enough people have smartphones, we probably won't have many issues. The phone GPS's are fairly accurate, and if you can find a landmark, knowing where you are won't be too hard. I'm interested to see this new electronic map. We could probably use UTM coordinates with regular GPS, but we'll be in a fairly small area.

It's not the boundaries that concern me. It's communicating it to everyone. What about people that don't have radios? It's just hard to make sure that everyone on the field knows that an area is out of play. For example: vehicle rules are always explicitly stated in the morning brief but people keep breaking stuff on zoobie's tanks because they somehow don't know that they can't do things like drop grenades into them. Honestly, I think Garrett puts on a 24 hour game that he doesn't need hooks like that to make it awesome.

That said, though, it's looking like UF should have a pretty long roster for this one. And Dom, Ping says the game was still on when they cuffed you.

The old fashioned way of using rope or colored ribbon would probably work best.

Are you volunteering to tape off every single square on the entire field?
