Pyrotechnic airsoft explosives in general. What do you guys think about them? They seem really interesting, but aren't they banned in a lot of places?
Re: TLSFx
I'm not entirely sure I understand the question. Please elaborate.

Re: TLSFx
he is asking if these products are allowed in the AOSC. Click me
they are allowed at quite a few places actually. Just to name a big game they are gonna be allowed at is OP Faded Giant.
personally I do not see why they should not be allowed. I mean I would rather have this thrown at me than some jerry rigged easteregg filled with bb's and God knows what to make it explode.

If that's what he is asking, it is answered in the game rules:
Dominum wrote:Rule #6: Pyrotechnics, pneumatics, or devices of any kind (whether homemade or store bought) that are not considered a normal airsoft gun will only be permitted at the field owners discretion. If allowed, you must have it approved by an AOSC Representative before the start of the game. No lasers over 5MW are permitted. Use common sense with lasers and powerful flashlights, as there can be some safety risks associated with them. Though it will happen once in a while on accident (and that is understandable), intentionally and repeatedly shining lasers in people's eyes will be treated as unsportsmanlike conduct and may result in removal from the game or further action.

Cannot say anything about what’s locally allowed but I can give you a good bit of field feedback on these. We ran through 300 some odd of these at the last East Wind event and I can tell you they are real a game changer. While they are not actually as effective as many would want them to be, they are quite loud and have a very good flash to them and are as such perfect for things like entering buildings and assaults when you want to keep an enemy busy but not frag yourself. In all reality when you look at the “lethal radius”, they are not unlike real hand grenades. Sometimes one goes off 5 feet away and just knocks you about, sometimes one goes off 100 feet away and kills you with a random fragment. I remember chucking old mills bombs into a pond in Rhodesia as a kid thinking that was big time fun only to head back to the house afterwards and finding a 6 inch hole in the corn crib 400 meters away from a big chunk with the fuse still in it.
Safety wise, in one ambush after I was hit and was laying on the ground, one of these detonated less than a foot from my face. While I was not pleased to peaches about it, it was not a bit worse then being shot in the face from 100 feet away. There are some sparks when you get them started (all of ours were pull pin) and as the fuse burns, you can burn your hand if you happen to hold on to the stem but aside from all of that they are not any worse than anything else we generally use while airsofting.
At any rate, particularly at night, these things are great. We’re stocking up on them for East Wind right now in fact.

They work great, seen them and/or used them in 9 states now. You'll find them at all the big national events. Completely safe, been in use in even nanny-states like Britain for many years now (and their public safety and airsoft laws are draconian by comparison).
