Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
I would toss in there that a lot of NC players attend Irene and Fulda, which pretty well take up the september-october timeframe. April would probably be best, just check the dates of the CDWC game(used to be Vietnam patrol) with Ferg and try to get a little separation. Those months are the prime spots, so avoiding confrontation with other big games is key. I'll try to help out as much as I can on the NC side, though I won't make promises on my actually being able to attend due to military constraints.
Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
Sorry I haven't followed up in this thread sooner. I appreciate the calls from marpat and Felix, who have both taken to my idea and are trying to drum up interest in GA and NC.
Since it seems most people are now talking about my tri state game idea, and from what I have heard want it to go forward, I plan to do so. No, I will not arbitrarily set a date right now. The FIRST thing we need to do is gather the people that represent NC and GA so that we ALL can agree on a good date that will not interfere with the schedule of any of the three states. I will also seek suggestions from GA and NC players about rules, objectives, and what not. My intention with this idea was to do something similar to what Garrett did with TDC, that is, have a game where multiple states cooperate to make it fun for all the players involved.
There has been some quality input in this thread, but there has also been a lot of talking out of posteriors and discussion of unrelated matters. Frankly, half of the posts are worthless or confusing to most people.
If you REALLY do want to see this happen, the way to do it is by contacting your friends in NC and GA and asking them to have whomever they consider their representatives to contact me so that I can add them to the planning forum for the game. I will set this forum up within the next few days, after I have some PMs. I will then work with leaders from all three states to work out the details.

Are we closer to a location yet? And how is NC doing with us?

Definitely not the place to ask since no one else really knows on here.

I'll nail down more details and really get going on planning after CiDIII.
