SHOT Show 2013

Post by Echo1 Operator » Mon Jan 21, 2013 6:43 pm

The airsoft product market is completely stagnant and boring. The PTS PDR is still vaporware. Echo1 wasn't allowed back this year. :'(

These were the only decent things to look at:

This is exactly how I feel after watching all the videos from it. Nothing seemed new or interesting. Hope the real steel part was awesome

Not really..most of the same stuff from last year. A few companies had some great new stuff, but that wasn't the norm.

I saw a lot of vaporware in general, i.e. products that were supposed to come out last year (or even years prior) still being touted as "coming soon!". ICS's M1 Garand is a perfect example.
In real steel, a lot of companies are no doubt sitting on their hands with regard to possible forthcoming firearm restrictions/new laws. No sense in tooling up to produce something that might be banned on arrival.

Most of the innovation and new products are centered in Hong Kong right now; there were tons of cool new toys at the HK Toy Fair.

Doubtful. Every company is at max capacity or has taken enough orders for the next year or two. This is the largest boom the gun industry has ever seen.

It's actually done, and already being sold in HK. It should hit the states very soon.

The only thing worse than a real Vector is an airsoft one.
