Another gSSun, another problem

Post by Villid » Thu Feb 07, 2013 2:39 am

So I was working on my JG 416 gearbox today, and when i reassembled it, the physical safety engages at semi-auto. Anythign ive done to adjust it isnt working. any suggestions?

It's likely you've put the physical safety in upside down, if you had to remove it. If that's not the case, then wires could be in the way, causing it to not move correctly.

Wires may be the cause. When I hooked it up the gearbox wouldnt turn. Blew my fuse. Not sure why it's seized up.

Got the gearbox to turn finally, and the fire selector started working correctly. No idea, but im gonna run with it.

New issue. With the motor plate installed, and the height screw all the way out, the motor is seating too high and won't turn. If I position it with my hand it turns fine. Are motor plates specific to the grips?

Probably the wires bunching up in the grip pushing it to far into the GB when you have the motor mount/plate installed

So i found a "minor issue" with my wiring.

This is what happens when you reassemble your gearbox at 2am.
