Re: BF3
PC with 5760*1080 at ultra settings running 60 FPS is where it's at.

My PC works good and could probably run really close to that but I'm gonna be on PS3 till BF4 comes out. Don't really feel like buying premium again, ya know?Mr. Marauder wrote:PC with 5760*1080 at ultra settings running 60 FPS is where it's at.

You would need a beastly PC to even get close to that.specter wrote:My PC works good and could probably run really close to that but I'm gonna be on PS3 till BF4 comes out. Re: BF3
@Avenger: if you care, feel free to add me on Xbox Live, I'm CHEATING HACKER. I pretty rarely play my 360 at all if ever since getting my new 660 Ti SC, but if I have friends who want to play I usually have no problems jumping on and playing.
Just a warning, I play exclusively with mouse and keyboard on 360. I absolutely cannot play with a controller, it's horrible.
Also:
I'm not sure I really understand the misconception that you need $10k to drop on a PC to get even playable framerates. I mean, yes, my graphics card (an EVGA GTX 660 Ti overclocked) was $280 alone and my CPU is over $100, but honestly it's hardly necessity. I have a $400 machine laying around that can play Battlefield 3 at 1920x1080 at 60FPS no problem.
Compare that to the $300 you'll spend on an Xbox 360, which is barely capable of rendering Battlefield 3 on below lowest settings at 1280x704 at 30 FPS.

Nah, not really. A three monitor setup like that may or may not require two video cards depending on your video card manufacturer, but you can reasonably render at that resolution on a ~400-500$ machine or less.Mr. Marauder wrote: ... 5760x1080 ...
