Damn that sucks sorry to hear that. If you used paypal hope you did not send it as a gift. I learned real quick to always send as payment and just pay the paypal fee.Felix wrote:I think i got ripped off by a guy in Michigan. Not too happy.
Also I second what romba said, details. Either public or private.

PSA store on Woodruff is now open! It's huge and VERY well stocked. They have everything. They said the range Isn't going to be open until mid-September, and their grand opening will be August 17. They will be having sales but they won't say exactly what.

Went to a hunting and gun expo today in Augusta, GA.
Saw some cool stuff, talked to people from Shot Show, and had the guy at Daniel Defense tell me how the airsoft market has grown for their kind of RIS systems. Lots of fun.

Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
So after being scammed out of a motor for my Systema PTW. Long story short: I paid for a rewound PTW motor and received a stock G&D motor, it could barely pull an M120
However there was a silver lining as I took the plunge and opened up my burned out PTW motor and rewound, polished, and made the motor adjustable (bye bye PTW screech). I used thicker wiring and tighter wraps to make the motor stronger and faster than it was new. It now pulls the M165 spring around 1200rpms
.
Needless to say I am happy, and I did not even have to send the motor off to England to be worked on by Tackleberry (who does good work just $$$)
I only did the polishing and making the motor adjustable cause I am a noob. I left the rewinding up to my dad who apparently was huge into slot car racing and rewound motors for 20+ years
. Needless to say I was happy when he told me that haha

Other than the scam part, that sounds like a major win... stack that on top of the price you paid for that PTW and it's a win win!

Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
so just did a quick test and a stock systema motor spins anywhere from 30,000-32,0000 RPM's. After fixing my motor and using thicker and tighter wiring mine spins at ~35,500 RPM's. So just shy of what a tackleberry motor spins at but I think mine is torquier as I wrapped the wiring more times around the armature. for future reference to anyone who wants to rewind their own motor's more wraps = more torque and less speed and less wraps = more speed but less torque.
I went the torque route since this PTW's whole purpose in life is to pull a M165 very fast in SEMI

I should be less lazy next time I have a burnt out motor in a PTW.
Now to go get another PTW and let the motor burn out...
