You know you are too much into airsoft when.......your wife calls you at work to tell you your sister is in the hospital with chest pains, and one of the first things you think about is you hope this is not going interfere with you going to the Vietnam Op or Fulda Gap.
Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
Felix, you could probably replace the fan itself. What card is it? The OEM probably saved a few pennies by using a cheap fan with sleeve bearings instead of something durable like maglev bearings.

Gotta change the idler arm on my Mustang later. Half dreading it, half looking forward to it.
I do not always accidentally, but when I do, I accidentally the whole thing.
Re: AOSC GDT (General Discussion Thread)
Is that as simple as pulling the belt and unbolting the arm/idler pully assembly?

Apparently it is, but I started on the other side of the laundry list of things to do. Pulled the fuel pump, water pump and alternator, going back with new parts in the morning. I'm going to do some painting on the engine and parts as well. If all goes well I can change the idler arm out too. Then the interior. Anyone know where I can get a front driver seat for a '73?
Skywalker, it will outrun and outgun anything you got, unless you've got a Ferrari or something

Ummm avenger, I would watch your mouth...
I am a BIG Mustang guy so take what I have to say with a grain of salt. I dunno what you have but judging by your post you mentioned '73, which is still first gen. Also in 73 the smog crap and smaller engines were beginning to come around. This means that the biggest engine the Cobra Jet 5.8l only had around 246bhp, and the normal V8 4.9l (commonly referred to as the 5.0) had around 140bph. If you are so unfortunate to have the I6, then I am sorry to say a tricycle could beat your anemic sub 100bph 4.1l.
Also Luke has a WRX, now I am not a import guy that much but I give credit where credit is due. And the WRX definitely deserves credit. For your car to touch his, not pass just touch. You would need a Min of 300RWHP, 300+WRTQ, great (not good) suspension, and depending on the style of race the required tires/brakes, better gearing, ect. ect.
You get the point.
TL;DR:
Unless the 73 is highly modded there is not any reason for Luke to waste his gas on a race, because on a drag, the Subi's AWD will destroy the 60' and the subi's power and gearing advantage would decimate the mustang. If it is a road course well... that should be self explanatory, a street legal Rally car vs. a drag racer.

Tell you what. You guys can all hitch up to the Jeep with me locked in low range 1st gear and see how long it takes your tires to pop. Biggest burnout wins!

God stephen you act as if you have not seen Fast & the Furious 6 or know the law of physics. If all it takes is a few ricers and a couple SRT8 chargers to bring down a plane then your lil tonka toy does not stand a chance bo.

A: It's pointless smack talk on both sides, neither of us challenged each other to a race. I wouldn't put my car on the track for anything, the previous owner ragged it enough for both of us.2nd Ranger wrote:Ummm avenger, I would watch your mouth...

B: The car was hot rodded by the previous, the engine is an aftermarket 351 Cleveland with a four barrel Edelbrock carb. I don't know everything that's in it, but it did come with a puny motor and transmission under the hood.(Ran the VIN to find out)
