I have only disassembled the magazine the lubricate part# 947 once.  I have never had any leaking issues since using my lubrication method described above.

Thank you, Nick. I think I'm going to pick up some more silicone spray and a couple of charging valves and a fourth magazine. I feel pretty confident about these.

Why do you spray silicone spray on the back of the release valve? It doesn't look like there is much that would soak in and lubricate. It looks like it just slides off and doesn't do much.

It probably doesn't, but it makes me feel good.  Can't hurt, right?

I should buy a tub filled with silicone oil to set my gas stuff in to preserve it.

Do you know where to buy silicone lubricant? You know... the stuff that comes in the bottle in KWA's gas blow backs?

I ordered some GHK 30ml bottles, but they are on backorder, and I assume some hardware stores would carry them. I've looked at Lowe's so far, and I haven't been lucky finding anything. I want to be careful what I use.

I did what you told me to do with storing mags. I have the silicone spray, so I sprayed some in the release port while holding the release valve open. I let it drip down into the mag. Then I sprayed a little in the charging valve and put two 1-second squirts of green gas in the mag. Does that sound good?

Just go to any hobby shop (not Hobby Lobby) and ask for silicone oil. It's commonly used to lubricate various parts of RC cars.

If I remember correctly, Spiggy from KWA said 30 weight gear lube is what to use from a hobby shop, but I'm a bit busy at the moment and can't check it right now. I'll double check for you Scott and let you know.

Is there anywhere to get the stuff from in Sumter? I could just order some from Airsoft Atlanta, but the $10 shipping is pretty ridiculous....

Thanks, Jeremy :)

No hobby shops in Sumter to my knowledge. I guess I could pick some up in Colatown and drop it off in Sumter on Christmas eve.

Well, I must not have put enough silicone spray on the part #947 because they're all slowly leaking. I am going to spray a load of silicone spray all up in the mag and around and on part #947.

For me, it takes two people to put the mag back together and pound in the pins. If this wasn't so annoying, I would do it a lot more and check it a lot more often.

Don't use silicone spray, use straight silicon oil. It probably just needs to be more viscous.

Yeah, the silicone oil I ordered still hasn't arrived yet... The seals are soaking now in a bath of silicone spray.
