real guns are dangerous, they hurt people. i'll stick to my echo1 8)
I love my custom built Oly Arms 1911, and it has never hurt anyone, it sits in a gun case loaded with home defense rounds in condition 1. Now if someone were to break into the house, I'd use that chunk of metal to impart a direct impact on the primer of the cartridge igniting the gun powder to propel a bullet into said intruder, probably multiple times depending on the situation...

The gun itself is no more dangerous than say a, frying pan. Hell the cartridge isn't even that dangerous and the bullet itself is harmless unless propelled at very high speeds. ;)
we have ours loaded with jacketed baottail rounds for hunting and "social work" ie home defense, much more intimidating than a shotgun ;D

Well I'm specifically looking at that one because I can find it pretty cheap on eBay... Go Pro's are supposed to be AWESOME but I don't have $200~ to spend on one...

why not look into a v.i.o. POV.1 or pov.1.5 I got my pov.1 for $200 and it is awesome. It's built to mil-spec standards and comes with a remote control and lots of mounting options as well as having a 1.5" color LCD for reviewing your vids on the controller box. Fit's perfectly in an MBITR pouch. Frame rate is perfect, resolution is great and can record up to 8gig's of video on an SD card.

I know it's a little out of your price range but if you saved a little longer you could get something of much higher quality and it will hold it's value so that if you ever did want to sell it you wouldn't be getting the shaft.

I know this probably isn't what you are looking for but search Kipkay on youtube and look at his spy camera video. That would be a cheap alternative. But I am with severed on this one, save up some money for the better one.

and when you're limited field of view 45* and limited recording time 4g and limited resolution becomes evident you can have an epic fail cam for like $40

really though $40 isn't too bad to blow, you can satisfy the urge and still save up for a good helmet cam

Can you post where you find this for $200? I want to get one. I have been researching the Contour HD one for a while now, and those are pretty awesome. The only v.i.o one I could find is $600.

this.

make sure you get one with all the bits, some of them were just the camera, cord and brain. There should be 2 mounting brackets and a chunk of RIS and a handlebar adapter, remote control, a software disk... all that shizz is useful.

the VIO's that are $600 are either new 1.5's or used HD's

I might do the contour one. but The VIO's seems much more practical. And okay I'll check ebay. Thanks!
