I like that idea, we did that here at the swamp and raised a good bit for charity. Even talking to the owner there were no complaints about it.

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
Radio discipline is hard to achieve if the majority of the players at a game want to do their own thing and not follow objectives. (Fulda Gap, having a runner deliver messages was more effective than using a radio.) Good organization can fix this.

It won't. Having been to well organized games, even ones on a professional level, you still have chatter on the normal channels. It is simply something that cannot be avoided with lots of people.

Making it a charity event is a great way to bring people together. Like jump gunner said, we did it at the swamp and it worked out good.
Radio - yup, chatter will be around unless you got the private channels. or having a runner, just dedicated to that with a smg and high rof to get going.

Before we start talking about a charity event, I suggest finding a field that's willing to host 500 people without being paid.

Picking the field is a must, then talk to the owner. The owner may donate the field for the event(tax write off) or even take less per person. The thing about a charity game is to make sure at least 85-90% of the money goes to the charity.

Diesel is right. Picking a field is also a key point in planning a scenario. Something made for Blue Hole won't work at Redfox. We should take this a step at a time. Throwing everything in all at once is a recipe for a bad game. Small steps.

"Good organization... can fix radio chatter"
Yes, good organization can fix it but only by limiting radio use. Let's say you have 200 players on a team; divide that into 4 main groups of 50. Those 4 groups would be split into 5x 10 man squads. Those squads should be able to communicate directly with eachother using their voices and hands. This means out of 200 people, only 20 would even need to be on the radio to co-ordinate their squads. You could easily split 400 players into a relatively organized comms matrix and leave plenty of channels leftover for Billy to ask Bobby which way to go to find Burger King.

Odds and evens! But Lit' Billy and Tiny Tim will still flood the radio with useless chatter.

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
Your CO and XO should not deal with you unless you are in a leadership role. That is why the radios at games like Fulda can be next to useless; anyone and everyone is blabbering away (as mentioned above). If you are leading a squad then by all means you should be talking to command, but in any other instance you should be talking to your squad leader who in turn would talk up the chain.
