Graveyard Operations and the AOSC Present:

When: March 5
Where: Trigger Tyme, 429 Koon Store Rd. Columbia, SC 29203
Game Fee: $17
Game Start/Finish: 1030/1800ish

Background Story:

With the world economy failing as well as rising food and oil prices, Ireland is among the nations hardest hit. Unemployment has risen over 25% and people are finding it hard to feed their families more than one meal a day. All this combined with the European Union looking the other way, The New Irish Republican Army's (NIRA) politicians and humanitarian missions become accepted.

Eventually the NIRA gains enough power and the southern counties declare independence, forming The Confederation, with the NIRA becoming the newly formed nation's army. The Irish Defence Force, losing many of their ranks and equipment to The Confederation, retreat to the north and request aid from Great Britian and her allies. Britian and the United States, viewing NIRA as a terrorist organization, begin series secret missions, codenamed "Operation Banshee" deep into Southern Ireland in an attempt to cripple The Confederation.

Scenario:

Intelligence lead Task Force 9 (a combined unit of Delta Force squad and elements of the 21st SAS Regiment) to Tipperary County, where it was believe that the NIRA is using Castle Cahir as a Bio-Weapon lab. To further support this, evidence surfaced that The Confederation had recently smuggled a wanted Chinese war criminal who specializes in bio-weapons.

The plan was for the Delta Force squad to infiltrate the castle at night, recover intel, destroy the lab, then locate and extract the war criminal. The 21st SAS would then provide cover during the extract. Everything was going to plan until the Delta Force squad entered the basement of Castle Cahir. The squad and all contacts instantly disappeared, dead bodies not even showing up on satellite images. With the sun now risen, the 21st SAS has been ordered to investigate what occured as well as assume the objectives of the Delta Force squad.

By now NIRA Command is aware of the situation and has disbatched the 7th Tipperary Volunteers based south of Cahir to eliminate the SAS threat.

Open war has begun, are you ready?

Factions:
Tan: 21st SAS
Green: 7th Tipperary Volunteers

Special Rules:

There will be no faction leaders. Instead there will be several Intelligence Officers (IO's) for each faction, who will brief players before the game and give advice and updates to players throughout the game. Anyone interested in this position please PM me. You must have working comms and be able to stay during the entire game.

There will be designated medics who will be marked. 1 for ever 4 players.

In the scenario, Castle Cahir (the tower) is surrounded by a deadly toxin of some sort. It weakens about once an hour but for only about 5 minutes. So after the game has started, you may only enter the tower for 5 minutes after the top of the hour. Anyone in or touching the tower outside of this time will be declared dead and must return to respawn.

If I can afford a prize, I'm thinking about doing a costume competition, like they do at some of the RealMil games.

Cuz you know, I'm a GRAVE member, so I'm here to play dress up 8)

I've never been to Trigger Tyme, but there is a first for everything!  How does this field play?  Is it
more similar to Red Fox or Saluda?

More like redfox as in its a paintball field.

Spread out pine woods with hills to the back and a creek to the right, a bunch of structures all spread out. Its a great field

Actually, I'd say its a hybrid of the two, just without the hills of Saluda. A good bit of the buildings are 2 story, and are spread out around the field with a village to the south. The road and creek definitely play a strategic role in the game.

I'd look at pics from last year's games, they'll give you a good idea of what you're looking at. This field is best played with a minimum of a 3 man team, 6 being optimal.(Or you could be like GRAVE last month and do a 10 man overkill) If you're worried about what gear to carry, be prepared for long range engagements(winter, no leaves or underbrush), with a good sidearm/shotgun for building clearing. Having at least one squad member with decent optics makes things easier as well.
