Mod on King Arm Mid caps..

Post by jsts ghost » Tue Jun 19, 2012 10:33 pm

First, I would like to thank the author, Maekj on Airsoft Mechanic, on the start of my r/d. And as you all know King Arms has affordable mags, but have terrible feeding issues.
What i did is tested out on two mags and it worked better than exepected.

Now with that said, this is infomational only. If you do this, it is by your own accord.

You clear your mag of rounds. Remove the retaining plug to gain access to the spring. Remove the spring. Take 80 grit sand paper and place it on the table, grit side up. Then look at the follower for the more angled side. Rub it on the paper to get it more of a taper. I found around 10-20 swipes get it . If you look at it the egde will be about a 30-45 deg angle on it. Then reassy.
I fired 5 full reloads with out a single miss or bind.
I completed all 19 of my mags this same way and they all work like a dream except one that I pulled to much material off.

Yes i did forget to take picks of the begining but I will upload after pics tomorrow..
